DECLARATION OF FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 2021 WORK AND LECTURE FREE DAY

The College Management at its special meeting held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 to review the circumstances that led to the postponement of the students’ Union election that was scheduled to hold on Friday, 23, 2021, noted that security of lives and properties within the College Community was more important. Also, ensuring that conducting election which would not only be free, fair and transparent, but must be seen to be so is equally important.

Consequent upon the above, Management decided as follows:

  1. Friday, April 30, 2021 should be work and lecture free for all staff and students.
  2. Only staff members involved in the election activities would be allowed in the campus.
  3. Only the main gate shall be opened for entry and exit.
  4. Any person or group of persons caught entering and/or attempting to enter the campus through any of the unauthorized entrances shall be treated as a criminal.
  5. Those occupying staff quarters shall remain indoors till 6.00pm.

By this memo, the College security Officer is directed to be on 72 hours red alert to ensure strict maintenance of law and order before, during and after the elections.

All staff and students of the College are hereby warned to adhere strictly to this Management decisions as defaulters shall be severely disciplined within the ambit of the law.
