WOMEN IN COLLEGES OF EDUCATION WICE AFAHA NSIT CHAPTER INAUGURATED
…WICE passed vote of confidence on Provost Dr. Daniel Udo
The Association of Women in Colleges of Education (WICE) Afaha Nsit chapter had been inaugurated.
The inauguration of the chapter which is membered by all female staff of Colleges of Education across the country took place on Wednesday 8th August, 2022 at College of Education Afaha Nsit.
In her address, the ‘WICE’ South-South Zonal Coordinator, Mrs Magdalene Bisong thanked members of the newly inaugurated chapter for being steadfast and committed to the ideals of the association, promising better welfare and dividends ahead.
Mrs Bisong who is the Chairperson of WICE Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State thanked the Provost of the College, Dr Daniel Udo for hosting and supporting the Association
Furthermore, she urged the newly inaugurated members not to relent in their love, support and commitment to the college.
While inaugurating M-WICE, Mrs.Bisong charged the newly inductees to be good ambassadors of M-WICE College of Education Afaha Nsit Chapter.
The Provost of the College, Dr Daniel Udo represented by the Deputy Provost Administration, Dr. Edo Obot Ekanem, congratulated the association for successfully inaugurating the Chapter.
He assured them that the College will offer unalloyed support in all ramifications, stressing that the contributions of female staff of Colleges of Education cannot be underestimated.
Dr. Edo Obot Ekanem, the Chairperson of the newly inaugurated chapter, in her speech acknowledged the remarkable achievements of His Excellency the Executive Governor of the State, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and his wife Dr Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel. Towering peace and security in the College and the State in general, Ibom air and unprecedented industrialization of the State.
Dr. Edo Obot Ekanem also commended the Governor and his wife for always protecting the rights of the women, and pledged unflinching support for the administration’s completion and succession agenda come 2023.
Moreso, she noted with deep sense of appreciation the positive changes recorded by the Provost in the college and thanked the provost for recognizing women in his administration.
Chairman on the occasion, Dr Theresa Ekanem, Director of Degree Programme in the College reechoed the provost’s pledge that the college would offer the association maximum support in order for it to achieve its aims and objectives.
Shortly after the inauguration, the body, led by the South South Coordinator, paid a courtesy visit to the Provost. At the visit, the Association passed a Vote of Confidence on the provost based on the developmental strides recorded by his administration in the college. The provost in turn gave all the glory to God and acknowledged his Excellency, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as the pillar of the achievements.
The members of WICE Afaha Nsit Chapter in their welcoming song welcomed the guest in the college.
