Teaching Practice Coordinator

Dr. Wisdom Inibehe Jude  serves  as the Head of Department, Curriculum  and  Teaching; as well as the Teaching Practice Coordinator in the College. She is currently the Chairman, Curriculum Organisation of Nigeria (CON), Akwa Ibom State  Chapter. Dr. Jude, is highly enthusiastic, dedicated, resourceful,  passionate and  a goal-driven teacher  educator. She specialised in Language  Education  from  the  Benue State University, Makurdi  and Curriculum Studies / English Education from University of Uyo.

Wisdom Jude has supervised and mentored student teachers in Sit in Observation, Micro Teaching  and Teaching Practice Progammes in the institution. Her major interest within the field of second language studies involves collaborative game-based instructional strategies, vocabulary acquisition, teacher preparation,  literacy processes and interdisciplinary literacy studies. She has published a number of scholarly research papers and books, such as ‘Mentoring Students’ Teaching Field Experience’;  A Guide for Teaching Practice’;  ‘Beyond Regular Education For Special Target Groups’;  ‘Curriculum Process and Implementation in Nigeria’ and  many practical journals for student teachers in teacher training institutions.

As  an erudite scholar, she has acquired  continuous professional development  with  certification  on : ‘Understanding  Language : Learning  and  Teaching’  from the University of Southampton and Britain Council; ‘How to Teach Online: Providing Continuity for Students’ from  Futurelearn.com  and British Council also  ‘Basic English 2: Pre-Intermediate’ from King’s College London.

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AFAHA NSIT, HOLDS ITS 30TH NCE AND 3RD DEGREE STUDENTS’ MATRICULATION CEREMONY ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8TH, 2021

The Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit is set for the 30th NCE and 3rd Degree Students Matriculation on Friday October 8th, 2021.

The ceremony will take place at the College Sports Ground by 11 am.

A statement issued by the College Registrar, Barrister Augustine Etim Udoibit, indicates that the Provost, Dr. Daniel G. Udo has, on behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, Staff and Students invited the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet as Chairman of the Matriculation Ceremony.

Matriculating students are hereby advised to collect their matriculation gowns at the Bursary Department of the College on presentation of evidence of payment at designated banks. Parents, guardians of the matriculating students and lovers of the college are also invited to witness the ceremony.

The statement also, advises all to abide strictly by the COVID-19 protocols
