Provost receives colleagues from Uniuyo

The Acting Provost, Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Dr Daniel Udo played host to lecturers from the English and Literary Studies Department, University of Uyo, today, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at his office.

The lecturers were on a solidarity to their colleague who until his appointment on 17th October, 2019 by His Excellency the Governor as the Acting Provost of the state owned foremost teachers training institution was a Senior Lecturer in the department of English and Literary Studies, University of Uyo.

While assuring Dr Daniel Udo of their readiness for assistance to the college in any area of need, the Lecturers used the opportunity to intimate the Provost on the University of Uyo Conference on Language and Literature (UCOL) tagged; ‘Language Literature and Social Responsibility’ which is taking place between 9-12th March, 2020.

The elated Acting Provost thanked his colleagues for finding time to pay him a visit, show of love and support for the College.

Dr. Udoh also opined that College of Education is an affiliate of the University of Uyo and as such, the College rely on the mentorship of University of Uyo.

The visit had in attendance the Acting Head of English Department, University of Uyo, Dr. Ubong Josiah, the Chairperson, Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU, Uniuyo, Dr. Happiness Uduk, Prof. Luke Eyo, Dr. Juliet Udoudo, Dr. Nkereke Essien, Dr. Imo Okon, Dr. Esther Robert, and Dr. Marie Helen Ekah.

Others include the deputy provost Academic, Dr Esther Andrew, the college registrar, Mr Idorenyin Uko, Directorate of information, Dr Michael Ebiekpe amongst others.
