The Degree Programme is an affiliate programme of the University of Uyo. Prior to the commencement of the Programme the College went into an affiliation arrangement with the University of Uyo through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This was followed by a Mock Resource Verification Visit by the National Universities Commission Resource Verification team on an invitation by the Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo visited the College in July, 2018 to inspect the resources designated for the proposed affiliation arrangement with the University of Uyo.
Consequently an approval for the affiliation arrangement and the establishment of a Full-Time mode of eleven (11) Programmes to run in College of Education, Afaha Nsit effective from the 2018/2019 Academic Session was granted in September, 2018.
Admission of candidates into the Degree Programme of the College is in line with the requirements as stipulated by the Parent University (University of Uyo).
Admission of 1st batch (Pioneer) Degree Students
The first intake into the programme had 234 students admitted through UTME into the following eleven (11) programmes for the award of BA and B.Sc degrees in Education of the University of Uyo.

Social Studies Education
Early Childhood/Primary Education
Presently, about Five Hundred (500) Students have been admitted and lectures had commenced for the 2019/2020 Academic Session for both UTME and Direct Entry programmes.
The operations in the Directorate of Degree Programme are strictly regulated by the policies and decisions governing that of the Senate of the University of Uyo.
The Governing Council of the College under the able leadership of Mrs. Regina Ikpat, The Provost Dr. Daniel G. Udo and Management are poised at making the Degree Programme rise to its peak. It is gratifying to report that the Degree programme is gradually gaining prominence both within and outside the State. Consequently, the Degree Programme has added value as well as raised the academic status of the College to an enviable height.
