THE ACADEMIC AFFAIRS DIVISION
Academic Affairs Division is a division of the Registry. It attends to matters affecting both the students and members of staff of the College. The Division is made up of three units, namely; Admissions Unit, Examinations Unit and Records Unit.
Students’ matters undertaken by the Academic Affairs Division include enrollment, examination, result, records, as well as preparation and movement of transcripts of academic records of the respective students to other institutions and organizations that may require same.
Academic Affairs Division is in attendance at the Academic Board of the College, serving as the Board’s Secretariat. It communicates the Academic Board’s decisions on various issues to the students concerned. Such issues include probation, deferment of admission, suspension of studies, disciplinary actions, waiver, etc.
Academic Affairs Division is charged with the responsibilities of issuing the Statement of Results and preparation of certificates, after due clearance of the students in terms of entry qualifications and other course requirements for graduation. The Division also handles the verification of the Statement of Results or Certificates issued by the College on request for same, by other institutions and organizations, made through the Registrar of the College.
Apart from serving as Secretariat to the Academic Board, other statutory committees of the College are resident in the Academic Affairs Division including Committee of Deans and Directors, which considers and recommends staff members for training/further studies, Central Results Committee concerned with assessment of students results from various departments and recommendation of same for Academic Board’s approval, and Central Lecture and Examination Time Table Committee.
Presently, the Academic Affairs Division is headed by Mr Akaninyene Okon Inyang, a Principal Assistant Registrar. I
